Situated in the Parish of Bradfield lies the village of Worrall and located within it, the Worrall Memorial Hall. Adjacent to Sycamore Park, the hall is situated in its own grounds with a good sized car park and grassed areas.
Following its refurbishment, the hall has been enlarged and we have updated our facilities to include a disabled access ramp. Our hall is used on a regular basis by a variety of activity groups and classes, ranging from keep fit classes to dance groups. We also host a regular Mother & Toddler group, Afternoon tea sessions and a Guide Group. The hall is available at other times for private family parties and other events. The main hall dimensions are 13m long by 8m wide, with a max floor to ceiling height of 2.9.m high. The hall is large enough for parties, concerts or receptions and is particular popular for children’s birthday events. The capacity for the hall is 90 people for a buffet or 70 people for a sit-down meal. Tables and chairs are provided. A smaller meeting room is available for groups of up to 6 people or for private consultations.
We have a large fully fitted, catering style kitchen, with multi-function range cooker with 2 ovens, grill and 5 gas rings. Also included is a large fridge freezer, warming cabinet, tea urn and 2 microwaves. Plates, cups, cutlery, tea pots etc are available for use. There is a serving hatch from the kitchen directly into the main hall.
Also adjacent to the main hall, is a small bar area. Please note that we do not charge for hire of the bar, but as it is staffed on a voluntary basis, the bar is not guaranteed for a function until staffing is agreed. We do not serve draft beer but we do offer a selective range of beer, spirits and wine.
If no bar is provided you are welcome to provide your own drinks, but selling of alcohol, by you, is not permitted. In either case an additional bond is payable at the time of booking.
Other facilities include the use of a blue tooth speaker to stream your own playlist and 2 event shelters. The shelters are domed shaped, open sided and are for use on the outside grassed area. The bond is also payable when using the shelters.
For children we offer use of smaller tables and chairs and access to an enclosed secure area at the rear of the hall. Bouncy castles are allowable in the interior of the hall, subject to the height restrictions, as well as outside.
Toilet areas for gents, ladies and disabled, including baby changing unit.
All private hires are for a minimum of 3 hours and where possible we can accommodate more than one booking in a day. Please note we do not hire the hall for teenage parties.
