Hope you’re all staying safe and well 🌈. We know some of our community maybe struggling at the minute but we also know you’re all supporting each other and wanted to say thank you. If you do need any help there are a great bunch of volunteers who have set up Helping Oughtibridge, Worrall and Wharncliffe Locals – join the group if you’d like help (https://www.facebook.com/groups/511127279485132/?ref=share) or message on here and we can put you in touch. We’re also making a donation to HOWWL to help out with the amazing work they are doing 😍.

Coronavirus [Covid-19] Statement
Update: 21 March 2020

In light of the government’s announcement on 20th March 2020 that all bars, cafes, restaurants and other leisure businesses must close, the Memorial Hall will be closed for events from today.

We will contact those with bookings to discuss their options including rescheduling their event or receiving a full refund.

We would continue to encourage everyone to follow the government’s advice in respect of hygiene, self isolation and social distancing to try and limit the spread of the virus and reduce pressure on the NHS.

If you have an existing booking which you would like to discuss, please contact us directly at bookings@worrallcomminityassociation.co.uk and we will do our best to assist you.

We will continue to monitor the government advice and we will be back up and running as soon as we can.

In the meantime, we hope everyone in our local community and further afield remains safe and well during this difficult period.

Worrall Community Association Ltd owns, manages and maintains The Memorial Hall as the village hall on behalf of the people of Worrall and surrounding areas in Sheffield. The Memorial Hall has existed since 1919 and has been improved and extended at various times.

In 2009 the premises were considerably extended and improved to meet present legislation and health and safety considerations.  The hall was made bigger and a new entrance with disabled access was installed.  New toilets have been provided including disabled and baby change and there is a hearing loop.  There is also a bar area, a separate smaller meeting room and a car park.

The WCA organises groups, classes and events for all age groups and welcomes people from Worrall and surrounding areas. (See activities and contacts page). Throughout the year there are a number of fund raising events such as Gala, Bonfire, Fashion Show, Wine Tasting (see calendar of events page) and the hall is available for private hire for family events and children’s parties.
